The new build replaces a legacy single-site structure with a coordinated, three-site digital ecosystem designed to serve members, prospective residents, and real estate buyers with distinct, purpose-built experiences while maintaining a unified brand identity across every touchpoint.

The project centered on the development of three interconnected platforms: the club’s primary website, a standalone real estate site dedicated to property listings and inquiries, and a fully integrated IDX Broker system connecting both to live MLS data. Rather than treating these as separate properties, NSD architected the ecosystem so that members and prospective buyers move seamlessly between the club’s lifestyle storytelling and its real estate offerings without any disruption in design language or user experience.
Bespoke IDX Integration Matched to Brand Standards
A central challenge of the project was ensuring that the IDX Broker real estate search and listing tools, typically a generic, off-the-shelf experience, felt native to Ford Field & River Club’s brand. NSD custom-built the IDX widget styling from the ground up, applying bespoke CSS to align every element, from typography to spacing to color, with the club’s established Roslindale and Sweet Sans Pro typefaces. The result is a property search experience that feels indistinguishable in craft and tone from the rest of the club’s digital presence, rather than a bolted-on third-party tool.
Infrastructure Migration and Technical Foundation
Behind the visual relaunch, NSD executed a full infrastructure migration, moving the site to a WP Engine staging and hosting environment built for the performance, security, and reliability standards expected of a club at this level. The team also engineered a custom WordPress child theme to faithfully replicate the header and footer styling used across the club’s Club Essentials platform, ensuring continuity for members as content and functionality were modernized behind the scenes.
The technical scope further included resolving complex integration issues across Image Map Pro and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), two tools critical to the club’s interactive property and amenity mapping features, as well as coordinating content migration from the club’s legacy WordPress environment into its Club Essentials system.
